London – 27.03 ~ 06.04 – 2011

Thanks to my new employer =) I had a chance to stay in London for over a week. Taking this I managed to get an overview of virtually every attraction in the central London. At the beginning as everyone else I was impressed by the city. But days passing by my feelings got gradually diminished. And there are a number of reasons for that:

  • famous London quality of life has it’s base in huge money spendings. It’s no surprise that, for example, a food is so healthy: you get a small bottle of freshly sqeezed juice for roughly 100 rubbles. Meaning it’s healthy but expensive!!!

  • allmost all the commodity shops close precisely at 19:00. This is terribly frustrating! I managed to go to shopping only on the weekend.

  • streets are clean but taxes are as high as skyscrapers

  • London shopping is fabulous. But it’s fabulous as long as you don’t notice that half of the stores are either English brands or owned by British businesses. Also London is very restrictive to other fashion capitals where Paris is a good example – you’ll never find a Lancel bag in there.

Allright, no more pain in the back. Let’s have a short trip to London streets…

Borough market is known for it’s artisian food a tourst crouds as well as for it’s prices and even own official site.

Next goes Chelsey. Some consider it a living place of their dream. I’m not that positive but still true – I don’t object living there =)
